Our Programs

What makes us Unique
Call us to talk things over

Feeling inspired

The nursery is owned and operated by a very inspirational family who have a wide range of life experiences and relevant qualifications, that motivate the entire playroom family to be the best they can be.

Many staff have been employed for a number of years and they report that morale is high and they feel well supported. (Ofsted 2022).

outstanding teamwork

In 2022, our team were awarded ‘Outstanding Teamwork’ at the Notts County Council Early Years’ awards. Alongside multiple individual awards for exceptional Leadership, Partnership working and Supporting Parents.

Support for every child

Keyworker System

A well established and unique keyworker system means the children build strong relationships from the early days of nursery life, providing exceptional consistency and security for the children and a high proportion go to school often exceeding typical levels for their age.

Food for thought

Delicious Menu

We have a mainly plant-based menu, with lots of pulses, cheese and fish for protein enabling children to try a wide range of different styles of food. We try to purchase locally and organically and are very conscious of quality food.  We use as little processed food as possible and have minimal intake of meat products in food such as gelatine and e-numbers.

Consistent Quality Care

Ages: 0 to 11 years

With the Playroom and our wboosc kids’ clubs, for many families, there is a continuance of extremely high-level care from birth through to starting secondary school.

Being involved

Active Parents

Parents are actively encouraged to be part of nursery life which builds on our family ethos.

Five Star

Food Hygiene

We have maintained our 5* food hygiene rating over many years, with our last inspection June 2023.

Exploring Outside

The Great Outdoors

Our outdoor provision and play are of high quality. Whether this is day to day play in our large nursery garden or walks and minibus outings further afield to local country parks and sites where we can deploy our Forest School skills and explore in nature.

Training

First Aid

We hold the ‘Millie’s Mark’ accreditation with all staff paediatric first aid trained.
