Childhood sets us up for life – it is forever! Let’s make sure
What Makes us unique?
Our nursery is owned and operated by a very inspirational family who have a wide range of life experiences and relevant qualifications, that motivate the entire playroom family to be the best they can be. This creates an environment in which staff feel well supported and moral is high (Ofsted, 2022).
In 2022, our team were awarded ‘Outstanding Teamwork’ at the Notts County Council Early Years’ awards. Alongside multiple individual awards for exceptional Leadership, Partnership working and Supporting Parents.

A warm welcome from Helen, our Childcare Director.
Welcome to our lovely nursery. We believe that family is extremely important in the development of successful, rounded children and have set out to make our setting a fully nurturing environment and as close as possible to home and a quality family life. In a world of group settings, we are delighted that ours is unique, no chains of nurseries and where everyone can be part of our family.
what makes us unique?
Being Together
Parents are actively encouraged to be part of nursery life which builds on our family ethos.
Our outdoor provision and play are of high quality. Whether this is day to day play in our large nursery garden or walks and minibus outings further afield to local country parks and sites where we can deploy our Forest School skills and explore in nature.
” We truly understand that finding a nursery is one of the most difficult decisions that you will make, for the most precious person in your life. Our aim is to provide the best possible experiences for you throughout this journey. “

Our beautiful location
Outstanding Care
Originally a Victorian home, many features of the building have been retained to enhance the warmth of family life. Ornate fireplaces, decorative cornicing, picture rails and high ceilings all bring home-based character that is so often missing in the modern setting. Rooms have been opened up to create open spaces that enable lots of different types of play to happen at the same time. All rooms have natural sunlight streaming in and are decorated to be calming environments, with the total indoor square meteridge that our children have for play being 173m2 ensuring that every child can explore in a secure and challenging environment.
