Our nursery Opening hours

At the Playroom, our typical nursery day is from 7.30am – 6.15pm and for families requiring a longer nursery day, we also offer ‘early bird’ sessions from 7am each morning. We are open throughout the year.

Nursery Fees:

We are always open and honest with parents about our fee structure and invoices are raised monthly, giving a full breakdown off all session fees. We request that fees are paid in advanced by the 5th of each month. We accept BACS payments, Voucher schemes (such as Edenred etc) and payments via the government TFC (Tax free childcare) system. For more information on TFC, please visit https://www.gov.uk/tax-free-childcare.

This includes children receiving the 9months to 2-year-olds funding, all eligible 2-year-olds and all 3-year-olds via the universal 15 hours and extended 30 hours offer. For more details on funding available, visit https://www.gov.uk/free-childcare-if-working.

In our setting, we spread funding across 52 weeks and can offer:

  • 15-hours funding stretched across the whole year (11 hours per week) – 2 half day funded sessions.
  • 30-hours funding stretched across the whole year (22 hours per week) – 4 half day funded sessions.

Funded sessions available:

Funded session type Session times
Funded Morning From 7.30am to 1pm (5.5hrs funded).
Funded Afternoon From 1pm to 6.15pm (5.25hrs funded).
Funded Day From 7.30am to 5.30pm (10 hours funded)

Early years funding is for the provision of early years education only and does not cover the cost of essential items such as drinks, meals, hygiene supplies or extracurricular activities and outings.  We therefore charge for ‘additional provisions’ which is in place to support with the additional setting costs not included within ‘funded’ hours such as meals, drinks, nappies, creams, hygiene supplies, trips including the running of our PSV licenced minibus and additional staff training to drive this. If preferred parents can bring these items into nursery however families must provide meals and snacks provisions that are in line with our “good food” policy. The additional charge applies to all elements of care and cannot be split to cover some and not other aspects.

Please speak with us to see how you can best utilise your funded sessions of for more information on the availability of spaces.
